goBaby, the Airbnb for Baby-Gear-on-the-Go, is a peer-to-peer rental marketplace and on demand app that helps families reduce stress out of traveling by leaving their cumbersome strollers, baby seats and Pack ’n Plays at home.
How? By renting from goBaby’s trusted community of local parents!
goBaby was founded by Natalie Kaminski, a NYC-based mother of two, after some of the best trips of her life — with her young children — were made stressful by trying to pack, carry and unload cumbersome baby gear.
Following a trip to Chicago where she was able to borrow a car from a friend, but couldn’t find a way to rent a car seat, she launched the idea for goBaby.
It’s super easy to use. Here’s what some other parents are saying about using the marketplace to rent baby equipment:
When we had our first kid three-years ago we bought a brand new car seat, several strollers, a high chair, a bouncy seat, and a Pack ’n Play. That’s just the start of the list, you name it, we probably bought it and often the best-in-class! We’re still planning to have another child, but currently a lot of this well regarded equipment is sitting around unused. goBaby has enabled us to easily make some extra income on the side with it by providing parents like us a service they really need and an overall better vacation experience.
OMG — this is an awesome idea! I’ve 2 small kiddos and if I can have all the necessary stuff delivered to my door while visiting relatives — you got me right away!
We live in Chicago and have rented out our basement on Airbnb. Since having a baby I've often wondered about an Airbnb for strollers… Well, you have done it! I love my Bugaboo stroller but don't want to travel with it and my little travel stroller just doesn't hold up as well for walking around cities. If I could wear my baby through the airport and have gear waiting for me at my destination… AMAZING!
